Alligator found in Ballinger City Park

Local authorities responded to several calls Sunday regarding sightings of an alligator or alligators in the Ballinger city park. Upon investigating the reports it was discovered there was in fact an alligator in the city park and appears as though it has been living there for quite some time. It is not known at this time if the alligator that was found and captured by authorities is the only one that has decided to make Ballinger it’s new home or if there are more of them living in the park. Citizens are urged to take caution when visiting the park especially around any banks / shores of the rivers that surround the park and do not leave small children unattended for any period of time while at the park until authorities are able to do a more thorough investigatio and search to determine whether this is an isolated case or if there are other alligators living in our city park. Updates to this story will be posted as more information is received regarding this situation. So until then, SEE YA LATER ALLIGATOR!!
