A shooting incident at Lumberton, North Carolina has cost the life of Hope Amelia Solo, the legendary US Women's Soccer goalkeeper. Solo has just left a local Starbucks coffee and was heading for her car. According to witnesses at the scene she had been talking and signing autographs for some people. When all of the sudden a dark dodge drove by and stopped with screeching brakes at the place where Solo at that moment was standing. The backdoor of the car was opened and a women jumped out pointing a rifle gun at Hope Solo and started to to shoot immediately. Hope Solo was hit by several bullets and sank to the ground. the shooter jumped in the back car that drove away at very high speed. People heard the shooter scream Goal, Goal, Goal every time a shot hit Hope Solo. An Ambulance rushed by but Hope Solo was death at the scene. hope Solo won 2 times Olympic Gold and 1 world cup with the United states and is by many seen as the best goalkeeper all time. She was 37 years old.
